Empowering Recovery: Join Our Gay Men Sex Addiction Group
You don’t have to navigate this alone. Join a supportive group designed specifically for gay men exploring shame, hookup culture, body image, and intimacy in relation to compulsive sexual and porn use.
Does This Sound Familiar?
- Feeling like your sexual behavior is controlling you instead of the other way around
- Using apps, hookups, or porn to escape stress, loneliness, or difficult emotions
- Carrying shame about your behavior—and additional shame because of internalized messages about being gay
- Struggling to form genuine, intimate connections beyond physical encounters
- Feeling isolated because most recovery spaces don’t understand or affirm your identity as a gay man
- Wondering if you can address compulsive behavior without having to reject your sexuality
- Experiencing a disconnect between the life you want and the patterns you can’t seem to break
You’re not broken. You’re not alone. And healing doesn’t mean rejecting who you are.
A Processing Group Created For You.
This is a processing group specifically for gay men who are navigating compulsive sexual behavior or porn use.
Unlike general recovery groups, this space is designed to address the unique cultural, emotional, and relational challenges that gay men face—including internalized homophobia, body image pressures, hookup culture dynamics, and the search for authentic intimacy.
What Makes This Group Different:
Identity-Affirming:
Your sexuality is not the problem. We help you develop a healthy relationship with sex and intimacy without shame.
Culturally Specific:
We address challenges unique to gay men’s experiences—hookup apps, community pressures, body image, and more.
Process-Focused:
This isn’t just psychoeducation. It’s a space to share, connect, and work through real experiences with others who truly understand.
Led by an LGBTQIA+ Affirming Specialist:
Facilitated by a therapist who specializes in both sex addiction recovery AND LGBTQIA+ issues.
In this group, you will…
- Reduce Shame & Internalized Homophobia
Unpack the messages you’ve absorbed about being gay and about your sexual behavior—and begin to release the shame that keeps you stuck. - Build Healthy Boundaries & Emotional Awareness
Learn to recognize triggers, sit with difficult emotions, and make choices aligned with your values instead of reacting compulsively. - Develop Authentic Intimacy & Connection
Move beyond surface-level encounters toward deeper, more meaningful relationships—romantic and otherwise. - Gain Support in a Judgment-Free Environment
Connect with other gay men who truly get it. No judgment. No explanations needed. Just understanding and support.

FAQ's
Q: Do I have to identify as a "sex addict" to join?
A: No. Labels aren’t required. If you feel like your sexual behavior is out of control or causing problems in your life, this group can help—regardless of what you call it.
Q: Is this group affirming of my identity as a gay man?
A: Absolutely. This is an LGBTQIA+ affirming space. We do not view homosexuality as a problem to be fixed. We focus on helping you develop a healthy, values-aligned relationship with sex and intimacy.
Q: What's the difference between a "processing group" and a "support group"?
A: A processing group is therapist-facilitated and focuses on exploring emotions, patterns, and experiences in depth—not just offering peer support or education. It’s a therapeutic space for real change.
Q: Will what I share stay confidential?
A: Yes. Confidentiality is foundational to the group. All members commit to keeping what’s shared in the room private.
Q: Do I need to be in individual therapy to join?
A: It’s not required, but we do recommend it. Individual therapy alongside group work often accelerates the healing process.
Q: What if I'm not sure I'm ready?
A: That’s okay. Schedule a free consultation and we’ll talk through whether this is the right fit for you right now.
