Long Beach, CA | January 3, 2018, marks the 9th year of business for Novus Mindful Life Institute Family Counseling and Recovery Center in Long Beach, California. Founded by Duane and Danielle Osterlind, Novus serves as a healing resource in the community offering marriage counseling, relationship counseling, support to help couples heal from infidelity and is renowned for their expert six-week intensive outpatient program for the treatment of compulsive sexual behavior and pornography addiction.
Duane Osterlind is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. He is an advocate for providing ethical and proper treatment for individuals and couples struggling with sexual addiction as “without proper training, a therapist who may have good intentions can actually harm the recovery process and potentially cause additional trauma.” Duane is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists as well as the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health. He leads the team of expert and compassionate therapists at Novus with the goal of providing the best possible treatment available in our community. Duane’s vision is to serve as the best mental health resource available to help the community and residents of Long Beach achieve health, happiness, and peace in all aspects of their lives.
